I have enjoyed my time with each and every one of them and I will miss them next year. I know they will go on to have a wonderful year in our great school.
Hopefully they will still stop me in the playground for a quick "hello."
The year has quickly ended and as I wrote the students' final school reports I was reminded how much each one of them had grown and developed their independent learning skills. They have all become more confident, more cooperative and hopefully they see satisfaction in the effort they each put in to their learning.

Hi people
I will be talking about my Furby. If you don't know what they are -well - they are 15cm long and they are very cute. You can feed them by putting your finger in the mouth of the Furby. They talk and they each have a different name. There are baby Furby and they match the Furby that you get if you want. I put my Furby against my dog, Bonnie and she walked away. They are not allowed to get wet because they are electrical. I have two big ones - the rainbow one and one that has pink in the background and blue stars. I have a little one that has the same thing. Chloe Dunn So, after celebrating their arrival, it was time to fill the Super Animal Albums - yay! The class had been looking forward to finally getting the chance to do that. Moving classrooms was the first priority and then the albums were a great reward!
I hope to send a photo or two to Woolworths to say "thankyou" once more. After making such good use of the Woolworths Advent Calendar, mostly in the way of Mathematics, an opportunity arose for our class that created great excitement.
One of our Community helpers showed Woolworths a photo of 2F using the calendars to discuss direction and addition. The store management were so impressed they sent our class a set of Super Animals Activity and Collector's Albums for every student along with two boxes of cards for the students to fill their albums. It was an exciting day when we opened the three BIG boxes that arrived by mail! Having spent some time reading through the album I realised what a fabulous resource it is - there is much to learn from the animal facts and many more lessons I could see arising from it. However the end of school gave us only enough time to fill our albums and enjoy a read through. Thanks so much to Woolworths for their generosity. If anyone is shopping there perhaps say a"thankyou" to a staff member you see. Mrs. Frost In 2F Ms Dyason came in to teach us about Japan. One thing she taught us is that in Japan their native plant is the cherry blossom. Ms Dyason told our class that they only bloom once, twice or three times a year so lots of people plant them or have a look at them.
By Tahlia Ms. Dyason came in to teach us for half a term. We made little table top gardens out of sand, rocks, small branches and tin trays. We made them because Ms Dyason had gone to Japan when she was nine years old. By Jade The other day I brought in some Lego for News. I brought in some Star Wars Lego and four little Lego people. I also brought in two speeders. In the movie they go kilometres in seconds! I also brought in a catapult. In the movie it fires rocks. I love the movie.
From Reef 2F students each have an Advent Calendar. Mrs. Frost gave us them. We count down to Christmas each day. We open a window and inside there is a chocolate and each one is different. The first one we opened was a Christmas tree. We have a number game and we say the date of December. We do Math questions and we can do +,-, x, doubles or square and only use the numbers that Mrs. Frost says. Then your partner or buddy does the answers from your work. I am partnered with Reef. We have opened 8 because it is the 8th of December. It goes from the 1st to the 24th. Mrs. Frost is the best teacher.
Chloe Hi People - I am going to tell you about 2F's Advent Calendars. I like opening each number and eating the chocolate. We are up to the number 8. We do Math questions except without the answers. Then we have to swap with our learning buddy and they do the answers. Jake At school we have our own Advent calendars. You get your calendar when it is the 30th of November. Then when it is the 1st of December you get a jumbled up chart that goes up to 24 which is Christmas Eve. It does not go up to the 25th of December because it is Christmas! With the Advent Calendar you get chocolates every day in different shapes! On Christmas Day you get toys that's why it does not go to 25 and the advent Calendar counts down to Christmas Eve! Charlie On Monday Advent Calendars start. On every 1st of December they start again. On Monday afternoon everyone found number 1 on the calendar. We ate the chocolate after we found and opened them. On the way back Chloe and I found paper bark. When we got back to the classroom we painted on the paper bark. we used the ends of paint brushes. I made a snake using black, brown and yellow paint. It took about 15 minutes and it took a few minutes to dry. While I waited for it to dry I had free time. I mostly played Supertuxcart. When it dried I started doing this book.
One day you could paint on paper bark! By Travis |
